In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, PlugVerse maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers.
PlugVerse may, at its sole discretion, limit, suspend, or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.
PlugVerse uses a strike system for copyright violations:
Strikes may be reviewed after 12 months of no violations or upon successful counter-notification. PlugVerse reserves the right to permanently terminate accounts that demonstrate a pattern of willful infringement, regardless of whether the three-strike threshold has been reached.
Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.

Artists uploading music to PlugVerse must ensure they own the copyright or have proper licenses for all audio content. This includes original compositions, cover songs, samples, and any background music.
All images and videos uploaded must be owned by the user or properly licensed. This includes profile photos, promotional images, and performance videos.
Performing cover songs at venues typically requires the venue to have proper performance licenses (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC). Artists should not upload recordings of cover songs without mechanical licenses.
