Organizer Agreement
Last updated May 21, 2026
1. Who Is an Organizer?
An Organizer is any user who initiates a booking request for an artist performance or venue rental on PlugVerse. Organizers include, but are not limited to:
- Fraternity and sorority chapters booking entertainment for events
- Student organizations, clubs, and campus groups
- Private individuals hosting parties or celebrations
- Corporate entities booking artists for company events
- Non-profit organizations and charities
- Venue operators booking artists as venue-side organizers
By registering as an Organizer on PlugVerse, you represent that you have the legal authority to enter into binding contracts on behalf of yourself or your organization.
2. Payment Obligations
2.1 Organizer as Primary Payer
As an Organizer, you are the primary financial party responsible for payment of all agreed artist fees and venue costs associated with your bookings. When a contract is confirmed on PlugVerse, you authorize PlugVerse to charge your payment method for the full contracted amount, which is held in escrow until the performance or event is completed.
2.2 PlugVerse Fees
$0 booking fee. PlugVerse does not charge a platform fee, service fee, or commission on an organizer's artist booking. Organizers pay only the agreed artist fee or venue rental, plus any third-party payment processing fees (charged by Stripe) passed through at cost. PlugVerse may introduce a small platform fee on Starter-tier organizer bookings in the future, with at least 30 days' written notice; Pro and Business subscribers will continue to incur $0 platform fee on bookings.
Optional Pro and Business subscriptions unlock additional features and usage limits. PlugVerse reserves the right to offer additional paid features and value-added services (such as instant payouts, banking products, ticketing, sponsorship programs, and aggregated market data products), which will be optional and clearly disclosed before you incur them — they will not be applied as a retroactive tax on completed bookings. See the Pricing page for current subscription rates.
2.3 Escrow and Payment Release
Payments are held in escrow by PlugVerse upon booking confirmation. Funds are released to the artist automatically 48 hours after the scheduled performance end time, provided no dispute has been filed. PlugVerse controls escrow timing and release conditions as described in our Terms of Service. You may not instruct PlugVerse to delay or withhold payment outside of the formal dispute process.
2.4 Failed or Disputed Payments
If your payment method fails or a chargeback is initiated, PlugVerse reserves the right to cancel the associated booking and suspend your account until the balance is resolved. You are responsible for any fees incurred due to chargebacks or payment disputes initiated in bad faith.
2.5 Off-Platform (Self-Managed) Payments
Sections 2.1, 2.3, and 2.4 describe protected (on-platform)bookings paid through PlugVerse. A booking may instead be marked self-managed (off-platform) when you and the artist agree to it before signing the contract. For a self-managed booking, you pay the artist directly, outside PlugVerse (by check, your finance office, or any method you arrange). PlugVerse does not collect, hold, escrow, process, refund, or guarantee these funds, and provides no payment dispute resolution. PlugVerse still provides the contract, calendar, reminders, and records. You remain responsible for paying the artist as agreed; any payment dispute is solely between you and the artist.
3. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation policies protect artists and venues from last-minute losses. As an Organizer, you agree to the following cancellation terms:
| Cancellation Timing | Refund Outcome |
|---|---|
| More than 30 days before event | Full refund minus Stripe processing fee (~2.9% + $0.30) |
| 7–30 days before event | 50% refund to organizer; 50% kill fee retained by artist |
| Less than 7 days before event | No refund. Artist retains full contracted amount |
| Force majeure (natural disaster, venue closure, etc.) | Full refund to organizer; no fault to either party |
Cancellation requests must be submitted through the PlugVerse platform. Verbal or email cancellations outside the platform do not satisfy cancellation requirements and do not entitle you to a refund.
4. Event Liability and Organizer Responsibilities
4.1 General Event Responsibility
You, as the Organizer, bear full responsibility for the conduct and safety of your event. PlugVerse is a marketplace platform that facilitates bookings. It is not a co-host, co-promoter, or co-organizer of your event. PlugVerse assumes no liability for what occurs at the event itself.
You agree to:
- Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws governing events in your jurisdiction
- Obtain all required permits, licenses, and insurance for your event
- Provide a safe and legally compliant environment for performing artists
- Ensure adequate sound equipment, staging, and technical requirements as agreed in the contract
- Honor the scheduled performance time and conditions set forth in the booking contract
4.2 Greek Organizations and Alcohol / Age Compliance
Fraternity and sorority chapters, and any other organizer hosting events where alcohol may be present or where attendees may include minors, bear sole responsibility for compliance with all applicable alcohol service laws and age-verification requirements. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Verifying that all attendees consuming alcohol are of legal drinking age (21+ in the United States)
- Obtaining required alcohol permits or working with a licensed venue for alcohol service
- Compliance with your organization's inter/national headquarters policies on alcohol
- Compliance with your university or institution's event policies and risk management guidelines
PlugVerse expressly disclaims all liability for alcohol-related incidents, underage drinking, or violations of campus or institutional alcohol policies at events booked through the platform.
4.3 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PlugVerse and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your event; (b) your breach of this Agreement; (c) your violation of applicable law; or (d) any third-party claim related to your event.
5. Relationship to Artist and Venue Agreements
When you book an artist through PlugVerse, a separate Artist-Organizer contract is auto-generated by the platform. That contract governs the specific performance details, payment terms, and cancellation conditions for that booking. This Organizer Agreement sets out your general obligations as a platform user; the individual contract governs the specific engagement.
PlugVerse is not a party to the Artist-Organizer contract. PlugVerse facilitates the creation, signing, and payment of contracts but has no obligation to guarantee the artist's performance or the quality of the event. In the event of a dispute, PlugVerse may mediate but is not obligated to do so.
You should also review the Venue Agreement if you are booking a venue, and the Artist Agreement to understand your obligations to the performing artist.
6. Prohibited Conduct
As an Organizer, you agree not to:
- Book artists with no genuine intent to hold the event or pay
- Provide false event information (venue capacity, event type, expected attendance) that misrepresents the booking to the artist
- Switch a confirmed protected (on-platform) booking to direct payment after the fact, without the artist's agreement, in order to avoid value-added service fees (mutually electing self-managed/off-platform payment before signing is permitted. See Section 2.5)
- Initiate chargebacks in bad faith after an artist has performed
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent account suspensions or booking restrictions
Violations of this section may result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of escrowed funds, and potential legal action.
7. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises between you and an artist or venue regarding a booking, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting PlugVerse support at legal@plugverse.app. PlugVerse may offer non-binding mediation at its discretion.
If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the arbitration provisions in our Terms of Service, which are incorporated herein by reference. You waive the right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PlugVerse's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to your use of the platform as an Organizer shall not exceed the total platform fees paid by you in the three (3) months preceding the claim. PlugVerse is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost data.
PlugVerse does not guarantee the performance of any artist booked through the platform. If an artist fails to perform, your remedy is limited to the refund of escrowed funds as set forth in the individual booking contract and PlugVerse's dispute resolution process.
9. Modifications and Termination
PlugVerse reserves the right to modify this Organizer Agreement at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the platform. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
PlugVerse may terminate or suspend your Organizer account for violation of this Agreement, our Terms of Service, or any applicable law, with or without prior notice at PlugVerse's sole discretion.
